VK Singh to fly to Saudi to sort out matters
New Delhi, July 30 (IBNS): Minister of State for External Affairs, General VK Singh will visit Saudi Arabia soon to sort out the problems Indians are facing there.
The announcement was made by India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on twitter.
Reacting to a tweet by a man who alleged that almost 800 Indians are starving for three days in the Saudi city of Jeddah, Swaraj said on Saturday that her colleague VK Singh will visit the Gulf nation to sort out things.
Swaraj also said that she has directed the Indian embassy to provide food to these people.
"We have asked the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia to serve you food in Jeddah. My colleague @Gen_VKSingh is reaching Saudi Arabia to sort out all such matters," Swaraj tweeted.
Another tweet said that MJ Akbar, MoS External Affairs is taking up matters with the Saudi authorities.
"My colleague @mjakbar is taking up this matter with Saudi authorities," the tweet read.
