Charles III officially proclaimed British monarch

London: Charles III is formally proclaimed king at an elaborate ceremony at St James' Palace by a 700-member Accession Council on Saturday.Prince Charles Philip Arthur George is now Charles III, the BBC quoted the proclamation as saying. The proclamation was made after Penny Mordaunt announced the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
