New Delhi, Aug 24 (IBNS) : Reprimanding Tamil Nadu Chief Minister S Jayalalithaa for slapping defamation cases against opposition leaders, the Supreme Court on Wednesday asked her to learn to take criticism, NDTV reported.

" Accept that you are a public figure and you have to face criticism," the apex court told her.

Judges said that "Tamil Nadu is the only state which misuses state machinery to fight defamation cases."

Of the total number of cases,  55 are against the media and  85 involve  Jayalalithaa's main rival, the DMK.
