Congress hits out at BJP over economic policy
New Delhi, Nov 20 (IBNS) The Indian National Congress on Friday took another shot at the Narendra Modi government over it's economic policy.
The national party took to twitter to convey its dismay over India's 'directionless economic policy' under the present BJP regime.
They wrote: "India's economic policy has lost sense of direction after Modi govt scrapped Planning Commission."
The attack came months after the Planning Commission of India was abolished by the present government, naming it NITI (National Institution for Transforming India) Aayog.
The Congress also alleged that the BJP government is insensitive towards ex-servicemen.
Posting a picture of Parkash Singh Badal, Punjab's CM, the party wrote: "BJP-SAD run Punjab govt pays him Rs 12 lakh/annum, but doesn't have money to pay old age pensioners, for 2 months."
Praising Kerala CM Oomen Chandy, the Congress took on the PM's home state Gujarat and compared it with Kerala in the field of Child Development Index, where the the former ranks 15th in comparison to the numero uno position of the latter.
"BJP's 'developed' Gujarat is #15, Congress governed Kerala is #1 in Child Development Index @Oommen_Chandy ."
The Congress also took on the government for their failure to handle projects, which plummeted in the ongoing year.
"Actual Implementation of projects drops from Rs 64.2K cr in 2014 (Jan-Aug) to Rs 37.9K cr this year. Revival?"
