D.K. Ravi death protest: Shutdown in Kolar

Bangalore, Mar 17 (IBNS) A day after IAS officer D.K. Ravi was found dead in his residence in Bangalore city, locals have called for a shutdown in Karnataka's Kolar district on Tuesday.

D.K. Ravi was the Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes (Enforcement).

Bangalore Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi told reporters: "Prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide."

No suicide note was found, the police said.

Ravi was a 2009 batch IAS officer.
