Jilted lover attacks woman with axe, then commits suicide
Hyderabad, Oct 13 (IBNS): In a shocking incident, a woman engineering student was attacked brutally on Monday morning in Hyderabad by a youth in front of her college. The youth then consumed poison and committed suicide. The woman is battling for life, media reported.
According to reports, the woman student, named Ravali, was attacked by the youth at the entrance of the Aurora's Engineering College in South West Hyderabad when she was about to enter the college.
On-lookers said, the youth suddenly came and started hitting her with axe in front of the College gate.
Before anybody could react, the youth then consumed poison.
Both of them were taken to hospital, where the youth died.
The woman is griveously injured and is battling for her life.
It has been learnt that, the youth was a student of another college.
Ravali later said to police that she identified the attacker.
She revealed that the youth had been stalking her for two years. She turned down his proposals in the past.
She had also made multiple police complaints against him.
The incident has sent shock waves in the city.
Police suspect, the youth might have attacked her to take revenge.
The principal of Aurora College, Srilatha said that Ravali had joined the college 20 days ago.
