LeT terrorist killed in Kashmir
Udhampur, Sept 9 (IBNS): One Lashkar terrorist was killed by the Army jawans on Tuesday in Laribag area of Kupwara district in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
Army in Srinagar, while relentlessly fighting the fury of floods in Kashmir has no respite from terrorists.
The Rashtriya Rifles (RR) jawans on Tuesday eliminated a foreign terrorist of banned Pakistani militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) at Laribag in Kupwara district.
Defence spokesperson SD Goswami told the media that based on specific intelligence input of presence of a terrorist in general area Laribag, a search operation was launched by the RR unit located in the Handwara area.
The area was cordoned and the terrorist was effectively engaged.
In the ensuing fire fight the terrorist was killed at about at 6 in the morning.
The body of the slain terrorist along with one AK 47 rifle, one grenade and other war like stores were recovered.
The terrorist was identified as Umaar Bhatti, Let Commander operating in the Valley from past 20 months.
