Lookout notice for Kerala church priest who allegedly raped a minor
Ernakulam, Kerala, May 18 (IBNS) The police in Kerala have issued a lookout notice for a catholic priest who has allegedly raped a minor girl earlier this year.
Father Edwin Figurez has been missing since May 5, when the state High Court rejected his request for bail. The police are looking for him not just in Kerala, but also in other states, reports said.
The police say the priest raped the 14-year-old in the church complex nearly five times between January and March, mostly when she came for confession.
The girl's parents filed an FIR against the priest on April 1, a day before he went missing.
