Petrol, diesel prices reduced
New Delhi, Aug 16 (IBNS): Petrol price has been reduced by Rs 1 a litre and diesel by Rs 2 per litre on Monday, officials said.
The new prices came to effect from midnight.
Indian Oil Corporation said in a statement, "Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Petrol by Rs. 1.00/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Petrol in Delhi will become Rs. 60.09/litre."
"Decrease in Retail Selling Price of Diesel by Rs. 2.00/litre at Delhi (including State levies) with corresponding price revision in other States. With this change, the price of Diesel in Delhi will become Rs. 50.27/litre," it said.
This was the fourth reduction in rates of these two fuels since July.
