Ramdev demands KC Tyagi's apology
New Delhi, May 1 (IBNS) Yoga guru Baba Ramdev on Friday demanded an apology from Janata Dal United MP KC Tyagi and other political leaders for 'mocking ayurveda'.
"I urge KC Tyagi ji & others to raise relevant people centric issues in parliament rather than engaging in sensationalism & spreading rumours," Ramdev tweeted.
"Shri KC Tyagi & others involved should apologize to the parliament & people of India for mocking ayurveda and spreading rumors," he said.
Defending Putrajeewak Beej medicine, which is marketed by his company Divya Pharmacy, he said it is not connected with birth of a male child.
"'Putrajivak' is classical ayurvedic name & deals with infertility issues not gender selection," he had tweeted.
Tyagi on Thursday showed a Putrajeevak Beej packet in the Parliament and accused the yoga guru of promoting male child through his medicine.
Ramdev said the political leaders were attempting to defame Prime Minister Narendra Modi by targeting him.
