Scam Maharashtra to skill Maharashtra, Modi pledges at rally

Palgarh, Oct 13 (IBNS): In his last push to the high-voltage Maharashtra Assembly polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday vowed to transform the state from scams to skills if the people vote the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to power with absolute majority.

“The Congress-NCP government has turned the state into a scam Maharashtra. We will transform it into a skill Maharashtra through offering job opportunities to the youth. This skill development can only be possible if you vote us to power with absolute majority,” Modi told a mammoth gathering at Palgarh on the last day of poll campaign in the state.

He also promised to take the state to the highest level of development.

“Today’s the last days for election campaign. The election will be held on October 15. I want people of Maharashtra to end the rule of corruption by exercising their franchise in favour of the BJP,” PM Modi said.

Taking a dig at the Congress-NCP government in Maharashtra, Modi questioned the role of the Congress government at the Centre which ruled the nation for almost past six decades.

“What has Congress done for tribals in past 60 years? BJP government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpayee, made new ministry for the tribals…I have a dream. After 8 years India will celebrate its 75th years of freedom,” he said.

The PM said: “This freedom is not meant for the rich, it is for the poor people. It is for their development…In 2022, there should not be a single family in India which will not have a house of their own with electricity, proper toilet, water supply facility along with hospitals and schools in the neighbourhood.”

Appreciating the grand turn out at the rally, Modi said that never saw such a huge gathering in Gujrat when he was the chief minister there.

“I have been the CM in Gujrat for 13 years but I never dared to hold a public rally at 9 am there. I am surprised to see such mammoth gathering at Palgarh at such early hours,” the PM said, thanking the people.
