Three GRSE labourers killed in Akhnoor terror attack
Akhnoor, Jan 9 (IBNS) : Three labourers of the General Reserve Engineering Forc (GRFE) were killed when terrorists attacked a camp of the General Reserve Engineering Force (GRFE) at Battal, near the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Aknoor sector early on Monday, reports said.
According to initial reports, terrorists first lobbed hand grenades at the camp followed by firing around 3 am after sneaking into the territory from across the LoC.
The GREF is the parent cadre force of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) that builds and maintains roads along the border in the country.
The area has been cordoned off and search operations are underway.
. In wake of the attack, schools and colleges in the area were closed for the day.
