Army chopper crashes in West Bengal, 3 killed
Kolkata/Siliguri, Nov 30 (IBNS): A Cheetah helicopter of Indian Army reportedly crashed in a forest at Sukna area near Siliguri city in Darjeeling district of West Bengal on Wednesday, killing at least three army officials.
According to reports, the chopper, carrying as many as four army personnel, crashed near Madhuban forest at around 11:45 am.
A spokesperson of Indian Army's Eastern Command told IBNS that after the accident, one Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) was rescued injured from the helicopter wreckage and had been rushed to hospital.
Indian Army, however, has ordered a probe into the deadly helicopter crash, reports said.
