Fresh summons to Fabindia MD and CEO
Panaji, Apr 8 (IBNS) The Goa police have issued fresh summons to Fabindia MD and CEO to record their statement in connection with the trial room camera episode involving union minister Smriti Irani.
Police have already arrested all four employees of Fabindia's Candolim outlet in Goa's Calangute on the charge of voyeurism and summoned 11 others for questioning.
Irani, who visited the store for buying clothes lodged a complaint with police that a CCTV was fitted outside the trial room at the Fabindia store.
The arrested persons were, however, granted bail by a court.
Fabindia came out with a statement denying that it had placed hidden cameras in any of its stores, including the Candolim, saying the camera in question was a part of the surveillance system and was installed in the shopping area.
The company, however, apologised to Irani "for the inconvenience that has been inadvertently caused."
