New Delhi, July 19 (IBNS): The Opposition attacked the ruling BJP-led NDA government in Parliament on Wednesdayraising the farmer's issue that rocked Madhya Pradesh several weeks ago after a police firing on agitating peasants left several dead.

Farmers from the state of Madhya Pradesh protested for several weeks over the demands of better crop price and loan waive, but the whole scenario took a violent turn after police opened the fire, that led to the death of six farmers in Mandsaur.

Besides the Congress, Janata Dal (United) leader Sharad Yadav said that the government fired bullets instead of giving the compensation to the farmers.

While interacting with the media, Congress leader Ghumlam Navi Azad brought the issue of Jammu and Kashmir unrest.

He referred to Pakistan's ceasefire violation across the Line of Control in Balakote, which occurred just a day ago.

Attacking the government, Azad said: "The government is unable to control the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. So, all the claims made by the government that the situation is alright, are nothing but lies."

On Tuesday, the BSP chief Mayawati tried to bring the issue of the atrocities against the Dalits and later resigned after she was interrupted by the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha.

However, the government requested all political parties on Wednesday to not engage in stalling the proceedings of the house.
