Demonetisation: Modi govt has lost connection with people, says Kejriwal
New Delhi, Nov 18 (IBNS): Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that by rejecting a rollback of the ban on 500 and 1000 Indian Rupee notes, the incumbent central government has lost connection with people.
The AAP supremo expressed his views on Twitter.
"I am v sad that FM has plainly refused to even review and consider rollback. Modi govt has lost connect wid people n has bcome v insensitive," his tweet read.
Kejriwal and his West Bengal counterpart Mamata Banerjee held a rally in the national capital on Thursday, demanding a rollback of the government's latest policy.
"Demonetisation is independent India’s biggest scam worth eight lakh crore," Kejriwal said..
"Centre estimating total deposit from people will be around ten lakh crore rupees. Modi will waive 8 lakh crore loan of friends," he said adding already Rs. 1.14 lakh crore has been written off.
Kejriwal said demonetisation has hit supply of essential items and people are being forced to line up outside banks. "But the Narendra Modi Government allowed Vijay Mallya to run away from country."
"Take back this decision in three days... Don't test people's patience. Otherwise, there will be a revolt by people," the Delhi Chief Minister warned.
Earlier, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee vowed to be by the side of Kejriwal in this "fight" and alleged that the PM has broken constitutional rules.
"Why did not you make a proper plan before the implementation.... The common man is suffering due to it."
"We are giving you three days. If you do not fix all problems, we will not leave you. We are still alive," she said.
" Today they announced that only Rs 2000 can be exchanged and not Rs 4000. What’s going in their head?," Banerjee said.
"If vegetable mandi is shut, what will people eat-diamond or ATM card?," she asked.
