Diver's find body of kid attacked by alligator
Orlando, Jun 16 (IBNS): Police recovered the body of the two-year old kid who was dragged away by an alligator from a Disney resort, according to media reports late on Wednesday.
Divers found the body near the place where the boy was attacked.
Sheriff Jerry Demings of Orange County, Florida, identified the toddler as Lane Graves of Elkhorn, Nebraska, media reported. "There is no reason to believe that the body that was recovered is not that of Lane Graves," Demings said.
A formal identification is pending, and autopsy yet to be completed.
On Tuesday, the kid was dragged by an alligator while he was playing beside a man-made lake known by vacationers as Seven Seas Lagoon, at the Disney's luxe Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
According to media reports, Disney closed all beach areas and recreational marinas in its resort.
The resort did not have signage warning of alligators in the water, and the media quoted a company official who said they will thoroughly review the situation.
