Hyderabad: Teen jumps off building after beaten up by college vice principal
Hyderabad, Sep 13 (IBNS): A Hyderabad teen jumped off his own residential building after being allegedly beaten up by the vice principal of his college for writing abusive comments about a girl on the bench, media reports said.
The class XII student was taken to the vice principal after two lecturers found him to write abusive comments about a girl student of the college.
The 17-year old boy was beaten up by the vice principal and also the two lecturers.
Meerpet police station Inspector NC Rangaswamy, told NDTV: "When the boy returned home, he called his father and told him that he was beaten up by the vice-principal and two faculty members of the college and hence he is ending his life. He then jumped from the residential building. He survived, and sustained multiple fractures in his legs and was hospitalised."
The police said that the boy jumped off the building out of scare that he would be scolded by his father for his activity.
The police have registered a complaint against the vice principal and the two lecturers under section 324 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for hurting with dangerous weapon or anything.
Complaints have also been registered under sections of the Juvenile Justice Act are also registered against the vice principal and the two lecturers.
However, no one has been arrested so far.
