No 'unparliamentary' words in my Rajya Sabha speech: Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge
New Delhi/UNI: Congress president and the party's Rajya Sabha LoP Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday claimed that he did not use any 'unparliamentary' words during his Wednesday's speech in the Upper House, and asked why several of his 'words' were expunged.
Raising the matter in the Rajya Sabha for the second consecutive day, Kharge said, "We respect you (Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar). Whatever our anger is, it is against the government not on you ."
"You have expunged six points (from my speech). In these points, there is no such point which is 'unparliamentary'," Kharge said, amid chanting of 'Modi, Modi' from the treasury benches.
सभापति महोदय, हम आपका आदर करते हैं। हमारी नाराजगी आपसे नहीं, सरकार से है।

As Kharge started reading the first point of his speech which was expunged, Dhankar said, "Nothing will go on record."
"He sent a communication to me. The LoP started reading what I have expunged," the Chairman said, referring to Kharge's letter to him over the matter.
Earlier, Congress top leader and MP Rahul Gandhi's words against Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the pot boiling Adani issue were also expunged.
Gandhi on Wednesday asked reporters in Parliament, " Why were my words expunged?"
"I asked him simple questions (about his relationship with billionaire Gautam Adani). He did not answer them... it reveals the truth. If they were not friends, he would have agreed to an inquiry. He said nothing about allegations of shell companies in the defence sector," the Wayanad MP said as quoted by NDTV.
