Supreme Court to give verdict on Jayalalithaa disproportionate assets case next week
Chennai/New Delhi, Feb 6 (IBNS): Supreme Court is scheduled to pronounce verdict within a week on pleas challenging acquittal of late Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa, according to media reports.
Newly appointed AIADMK General Secretary Sasikala Natarajan, whom the party is also trying install as the new chief minister, is also a co-accused in the case.
Senior advocate Dushyant Dave made an urgent mention that in June 2016 the apex court had reserved its judgement for three months on the decade-old disproportionate asset case against Jayalalithaa.

The apex court had sought the responses of Jayalalithaa and the three co-accused — Sasikala, Elavarasi and Sudhakaran, which was followed by a break to study the various aspects of the case.
