Uttarakhand : After HC sets aside President's rule, Centre moves SC today
Dehradun, Apr 22 (IBNS) A day after the High Court set aside its decision to impose President's rule in Uttarakhand, the Centre moves the Supreme Court on Friday.
Reports said the central government will make a "special mention" in the Supreme Court, saying the Harish Rawat government is in a minority.
The Uttarakhand High Court on Thursday set aside the Centre's decision in March to place the hill state under President's Rule.
"The Centre has every right to approach the Supreme Court, but we are confident they won't get any relief," Rawat, who held a Cabinet meeting after the reinstatement, said.
The Uttarakhand High Court has said that Rawat has to take a trust vote on April 29.
The Centre decided to move the Supreme Court at a meeting of the BJP's top leaders at the residence of party president Amit Shah on Thursday evening.
